Get a large bowl and add in your butter, egg, yolk, and vanilla.
Mix together until well combined.
Next, grab your cookie jar.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the large bowl.
Stir everything together until well combined.
Cover your mixture with saran wrap and chill for 5 minutes.
Spoon out tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto an un-greased baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between them.
Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes or until a deep golden brown.
Let cookies cool slightly before transferring to a cooling rack.
